Email Notifications

Hey Blend Community.

Hope you are all doing great.  We just launched Blend and finding the email notifications overwhelming for users and customers.  When we were testing we hadn’t recognized Blend sends the same email notifications to customers and lenders in different orders rather than one email to all 3, for example:

  • Borrower
  • Co-Borrower
  • Lender

then another email in a different order to 

  • Co-Borrower
  • Borrower
  • Lender

and another to just the Lender

When we had asked about turning some of the notifications off or combining the emails, we were told that all other Blend clients found value in the duplicated emails.  

Does anyone have any suggestions?  We would love to hear from you.

Our teams have learned to live with it, but they don’t particularly like it. The more tech savvy ones ignore the noise and have created mail filters, the others still get a bit confused on what the messages indicate. Eventually your teams will determine what best works for them.

This doesn’t address all challenges but the LO user can turn off notifications on an individual loan record in Follow-ups by choosing the ellipsis which offers to Turn off…..

Yes, some of my teams do that, but it only works for standard follow ups, not for disclosures (which is kind of a good thing, unless you have ink-sign docs that you can’t get rid of for the customer. Once the client logs back in, the notifications turn on again.
