Applicant's address not recognized as valid

Occasionally consumer banking customers run into an issue where their address is not recognized as valid in the application workflow.

It appears to me that the only recourse they have if this happens to them is to use an alternate address (which often is not feasible) or to abandon the application altogether.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with consumer banking customers? Is it possible to bypass this feature or enter an address “as written” rather than being limited to what Google considers valid?

Hi @bboles ,

I reached out to Our product team to check with them. Here is the response:
It is possible to bypass the Google address pre-fill feature or enter an address “as written” rather than being limited to what Google considers valid.

While Google will suggest a valid address, users can edit the address to be whatever they would like in the address model.

If you are experiencing occasional issues with this functionality, Support may need to investigate this further. Please open a Support ticket. They will need a little more information:

  • Which loan types does this happen to?
  • Do we have any address examples that cause the “invalid” message? (Provide info in ticket).
  • Do we have any actual loan examples Support can look into?

I hope this helps.
